Time is flying by- if you plan to come to either of the Christmas lunches please read instructions below. Over 100 people are planning to come to one or the other!!!
La Corte Christmas Lunch Leyland Tuesday 17 December 12 noon-cost £12
For the people who would like to come to this event please could you put £12 in an envelope with your name and telephone number and email on the front. I will have the menus in class for you to make your choice to put on the envelope too. Please hand this in as soon as possible.
Rivington Barn Tuesday 26 November total cost £26
For all the people who have paid their £5 deposit could you pay the balance of £21 by putting it in an envelope with your name on and write on the outside of the envelope your choice of main and pudding – menu available in class.
My son Yianni’s memorial fund
When my 25 son Yianni died in 2016 we had a collection in his memory- we raised £7000.Thank you to all who donated. I had just been diagnosed with MS and I was very ill -using a walking stick at times and contemplating a wheel chair on bad days. The £7000 was to be used to help people with MS but I wasn’t quite sure how to use it. I was lucky to discover Overcoming MS which is very well researched and having followed the protocol – I can still work!! Overcoming MS now has a bursary fund in Yianni’s memory for young people who suffer from this horrible disease which often strikes people down in their mid twenties. Yianni for Overcoming MS funds their attendance at a retreat to learn about the protocol. If you know anybody under 35 with MS they could apply for this. This fund will be on-going and I plan to keep raising money for it.
Another session 1 Nordic Walking technique course.
There will be another chance to do this on Friday 1 November 4pm Worden Park main car park. Session 2 will talk place on Saturday 2 November 11.30am Worden Park main car park. Let me know if you plan to come.
Time change Wednesday afternoon Cuerden Valley
We will start at 3.45pm from 6 November. Just a bit earlier to avoid traffic after the walk.
Thursday 6pm Nordic Walking change of start location from Thursday 17 October.
The start point for this group will change to Tesco’s Extra car park from Thursday 17 October due to the park closure and the darkness.
