Healthy Ageing, next Nordic Walking technique course and reminder about Christmas lunches

One of the recurring topics this week on Woman’s Hour on Radio 4 has been healthy ageing. It is worth a listen as they talk about the importance of exercise and friendships as we age. Next Nordic Walking Technique course
This will be held on the  two Saturdays 26 October and 2 November 11.30am start on Worden Park -main car park.. The sessions last an hour and a half roughly and you need to attend both. It is £20 for the course and you will receive a Freedom Passport so you can go to  any Nordic Walking  UK group. You can either book by letting me know or book on line

Fundraising for Rainbow House
A class member’s daughter is raising funds for the amazing Rainbow House by climbing 12 mountains in 12 months. I teach Seated Pilates for people with MS for the MS Society at this beautiful facility and see all the marvellous work that goes on there. If you would like to support their fundraising see below:

For the people who would like to come to this event please could you put £12 in an envelope with your name and telephone number and email on the front. I will have the menus in class for you to make your choice to put on the envelope too.

For all the people who have paid their £5 deposit could you pay the balance of £21 by putting it in an envelope with your name on and write on the outside of the envelope your choice of main and pudding- see below:

The start point for these walks is back on Worden Park main car park from Tuesday 8 October.

Thursday 6pm Nordic Walking change of start location from Thursday 17 October.
The start point for this group will change to Tesco’s Extra car park from Thursday 17 October due to the park closure and the darkness.
