Week beginning 15 May and my 60th

Hello,
I was getting quite used to 3 day weekends! Back to normal from tomorrow with all Monday classes on as usual. (Apart from Monday 29 May when there is another bank holiday!)

A big birthday for me next week. I feel so lucky to be doing what I do meeting fantastic people every day and keeping healthy with my job as a fitness instructor. When I became very ill in 2016 with a Multiple Sclerosis relapse. Relapsing remitting MS (RRMS) | Multiple Sclerosis Society UK (mssociety.org.uk) I didn’t know if I would still be able to walk properly again or work. It was truly terrifying. The wisest of physios said to me as soon as you can go back to teaching Pilates. I am so grateful to her as that gave me a lot of hope which is so important to keep you motivated. Many of my class members have long-term health conditions and find coming to class helps both physically and mentally. The key is to find the right exercise or class for you.

There will be no afternoon and evening classes as it is my 60th birthday Thursday 18 May (and no Saturday 20 May Nordic Walk.)
Monday Spring Bank Holiday
Monday 29 May

Road works around Prospect House
I have been notified that there will be road works from the Tuesday 25th April from the start of Balcarres Road to Broad Square. This will done in 100 meter sections so allow a little bit more time to get to class.

Pilates on Zoom Tuesdays 7pm (apart from first Tuesday of the month)
Trying to fit exercise into our day can be challenging especially if you are working full time. I know for some people a Zoom Pilates class might be a lot more convenient. Every Tuesday except first Tuesday of the Month. Classes can be booked on Gymcatch.

Easter Bunny fund raising for MS Society

Thank you to everyone who bought a beautiful knitted bunny to raise funds for our local MS Society and a massive thank you to Judith Rowntree for all her knitting. You raised £65 – many thanks from the MS Society.
