It is National Walking Month – walking is one of the simplest ways to look after your health. Just 30 minutes every day can increase cardiovascular fitness, strengthen bones, reduce excess body fat, and boost muscle power and endurance. Next Nordic Walking Technique course
To support National Walking Month I have arranged a Nordic Walking technique course for Saturday 28 May 2pm on Worden Park – Timetable and book a class – Do Fitness with Diane Oakden. Don’t forget we have a Wellbeing Nordic Walking group for you to start gently.

Starter Circuits has begun again Fridays at 1.15pm at Prospect House
Many people have asked for Starter Circuits to come back. This class is on Fridays at 1.15pm. It is a 45 minute class working on strength, balance and cardio-vascular fitness for people who want to start getting fit again after a break from exercise.

June Jubilee Bank Holiday 
No classes Thursday, Friday and Saturday 2,3 and 4 June due to the Queen’s Jubilee.

Tuesday 10am Nordic Walking changing to Thursday 9.15am from June
I have to change my timetable to give me some time for admin and study so the Tuesday morning group is moving to Thursday morning 9.15am from 9 June. No Tuesday walks from Tuesday  7 June onwards.
