Week beginning 29 June

Hello everyone

We have had our 3rd week of outdoor classes – and it was beautiful to dance Zumba in the sunshine and look at the blue skies lying on our mats in Pilates. I felt like I was on holiday somewhere like the south of France but my goodness how the weather has changed! I certainly don’t need to water the allotment! Due to the weather forecast I have cancelled Monday Zumba outdoors.  I think it will be too wet under foot and possibly slippery on the grass. I hope that when my new broadband is installed on Thursday we can enjoy our Zoom classes more easily rather than having delays and freezing challenges. The only outdoor classes I am running next week are Nordic Walking groups because they can put their raincoats on.

Nordic Walking Technique Course
Many people have discovered how beneficial walking can be during lockdown. A relative of mine has lost a stone in weight and feels so much fitter just by going for a walk every morning whereas he used to drive everywhere. Nordic Walking adds the upper body workout too plus sets a good pace for improved cardiovascular fitness. There is a Nordic Walking Technique course at 10.30am on Wednesday 1 July meeting on the Folly Café lawn Worden Park. Disinfected poles can be borrowed for this. The Folly Café Worden Park is open for Takeaways
The Folly Café is now open for takeaway coffee, cafes and ice-cream. They have supported us by letting us use their lawn for our outdoor classes which I am really grateful for.

 A  New Monday evening Nordic Walking Group
There is a new Monday evening group starting on Mondays 6.30pm on Worden Park to give you another evening option. To book got to https://gymcatch.com/

Because of the numbers are limited due to the government safety regulations I  needed a booking system which is now up and running and can be found on https://gymcatch.com/  -go to this web-site and click the red ‘book’ button on the top right hand side. Search for Do Fitness. If you are going to use one of your pre-paid tickets from you 12 for 10 book of tickets that you bought before lockdown  use the code TICKETBOOK when asked for payment. Nordic Walkers please bring your own poles (let me know if you need to borrow some) and Pilates bring their own mat. All outdoor classes are following guidelines on social distancing and max number 5.
