Welcome to you if you have joined one of our Do Fitness classes recently. I send our newsletter out every Sunday morning, so you know what is coming up in the next week and of course the timetable is on Gymcatch via Timetable and book a class – Do Fitness with Diane Oakden. I also try to include health and fitness tips for any issues that have an impact on my class members.

Weights and resistance training really important as we age
Last week there was a lot of media interest in weight and resistance training and how it benefits us as we age Pumping weights could help you live longer – BBC News. Luckily, we have already been doing this in our classes!

Next Nordic Walking Technique Course Saturday 8 October 1.30pm
A fabulous way to keep fit outdoors once you have done the technique course. Groups meet Monday evenings, Wednesday afternoons, Saturday morning and Thursday afternoon for the Wellbeing group (shorter distance slower pace) to book Timetable and book a class – Do Fitness with Diane Oakden or diane@dofitness.org or 07818444841

Monday 6.30pm Nordic Walking moves to Buckshaw Tesco start from 10 October
This allows us to walk through well-lit routes in the dark evenings in winter.

Chairfit and Seated Pilates
If you or a friend have arthritis a good place to start with exercise is a chair based class. Mondays Seated Pilates 12.30am and Wednesdays Chairfit 11.30am.
