Hello,
Welcome to you if you have joined one of our Do Fitness classes recently. I send our newsletter out every Sunday morning, so you know what is coming up in the next week and of course the timetable is on Gymcatch via Timetable and book a class – Do Fitness with Diane Oakden. I also try to include health and fitness tips for any issues that have an impact on my class members.
How is your balance?
When I had my first major MS episode or relapse which led to my diagnosis my balance was really impacted. It was frightening to fall so easily and I started to use a walking stick. Fortunately I recovered enough to teach classes again. I realised that balance was so important and can be practised and improved. So in classes such as Pilates I try to give you as many different balance challenges as possible including the balance hedgehogs. Keep practising it could make a massive difference to your quality of life. Here are some useful links to give you ideas:

Chairfit and Seated Pilates
If you or a friend have arthritis a good place to start with exercise is a chair based class. Mondays Seated Pilates 12.30am and Wednesdays Chairfit 11.30am.
