Hello,
Last week was very memorable for me as I attended Barack Obama’s talk (along with 23,000 other people). It was inspiring, informative and humorous. I am really glad I went. Thank you to my class member Mary and her husband for the lift home, which made it even better.
The Benefits of Pilates
I love it when I get feedback from my Pilates class members like this:
‘I was out walking, and we got stuck in a field, and the only way out was to climb over a fence. Because I do Pilates, I had the strength and flexibility to do it.’
‘I can lift my grandchildren and get on the floor and play with them.’
‘When I fell out walking the dog. I didn’t break my wrist.’
In our Pilates classes, we work a lot on balance, so there is standing work to reduce the chance of falls. We do a lot of strength work to keep you strong and maintain bone density so you can pick up the grandchildren or carry a load, plus flexibility work so you can climb over that fence. We also include a relaxation component, so you walk out feeling more chilled!
