Week beginning 7 July and why strength training is so important

Hello,
It is never too late to start improving our fitness. In fact, as we age, we really need to exercise more, as nature is against us. From 35 onwards, we start to lose muscle mass, and that quickens in our 60s due to the hormone changes in our body. That is why I encourage you to use the heaviest weight or strongest loop possible in class (except if you have an injury). Strength training helps with mobility, balance and reduces the risk of falls and helps reduce cognitive decline.
