Chorley Carnival, Leyland Festival, Presentations and Fitness Fusion special offer

6 June

Chorley Carnival Saturday 8th June
We are going to make Chorley feel like Rio de Janeiro this weekend! DO Fitness has been invited to join Sambafriq, the Samba band to march and dance our way through Chorley this Saturday 8th June. You don’t need a carnival costume but just your brightest T-shirt . We will follow the dancer Danny Henry’s easy to follow moves through Chorley. It’s really great fun. I am taking my daughter Eleni- she loves it!
Meeting time- 10.45am at Botany Bay car park. We will end up at Astley Park gates. The route is Botany Bay Car Park, Blackburn Road, Eaves Lane, George Street, Chorley Lamp, Market Street, Astley Park Gates on Park Road. Join us at any point!

Leyland Festival Saturday 15th June
We will be at  Worden Park all day of Leyland Festival on the DO Fitness stand. I have a 15 minute slot on the stage at 3pm when I will do a few of our Zumba dances finishing with the Cotton Eye Joe song for the USA theme of the Festival. If you are free and you can join in then that would be great!

Presentation to the Ross Tomlinson Tribute Fund
We presented a cheque for £350 – half of the money we raised from our charity night- to Linda Tomlinson last Thursday  see our photo http://www.dofitness.org/latest-news/. Linda is Ross Tomlinson’s mum. She was very grateful to you all and really touched by your generosity. Thank you. A representative from Derian House should be coming to class tonight for us to present the other £350

Fitness Fusion special offer.
We have an additional Fitness Fusion class now on Thursdays at 6pm at Prospect House. It is 30 minutes of ‘get you fit fast’ exercise but you can still work at your own level. Cardio, strength, core and flexibility in one class. The class is £3 but if you stay for Zumba afterwards it is only £2 for the rest of June.

Radio Lancashire.
I am on Radio Lancashire talking about Pilates tomorrow Friday 7th of June at 3pm. The last two  times I was due on to do this was when we had the freakish snow drifts up here in White Coppice and  I couldn’t get out and after that I had a virus which affected my speech – no good for radio. So keep your fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Enjoy this gorgeous weather everyone.
