Week beginning 16 February – no classes 16-20 February

Hello,
This is just a quick reminder that there are no DO Fitness classes next week, 16-20 February. I shall be catching up with myself, and on a training course near Brighton. (Wish me luck with the trains.)

New Seated Pilates Class from 5 March
Our Seated Pilates class on Mondays has become quite busy, and as an instructor, I want to be able to keep an eye on everyone, which is hard when there are too many attendees. Because of that, I have decided to start another class and invite new people to join it. This class will start on Thursday, 5 March at St Mary’s Community Centre on Broadfield Drive. There is even a free coffee bar before or after the class, too!

Good news about a class member
For people who come to Monday’s Seated Pilates, we have really good news about the lovely Frances D. After being extremely ill, she has started to recover and is making plans to come home from the nursing home. I was able to visit her on Friday, and she is looking remarkably well. She is even doing some of her exercises from class!

Zoom chair-based classes for people with MS or other Neurological conditions
If you know anyone with MS or another neurological condition, and they would like to exercise from home, please ask them to get in touch with me for the link. The amazing local MS Society provides these classes for free. I teach them on Wednesdays and Fridays at lunchtime. There are also face-to-face classes twice a month and Hydro weekly.

No Do Fitness classes 16 – 20 February
I am taking that week off to catch up with some studies I am doing and to go on a course in Brighton with a Neuro-Physio from New Zealand, who specialises in exercise for people with MS (Multiple Sclerosis). As some of you know, I also teach for the local MS Society, and I am always trying to extend my knowledge of exercise for people with this condition. (I was diagnosed with it in 2016.)

Monday morning 8am Pilates
If you know anyone who has limited free time during the day due to work schedules, this class might be a perfect way to start the week.

Monday 2pm Chairfit St Mary’s Community Centre
A new class for improving fitness if a standing class isn’t suitable.
